OUR VISION/MISSION
We, the staff of Betsy Layne Elementary, will strive to establish a positive school climate that promotes cooperation, family and community involvement, as well as professional learning that is open to new ideas, within a safe, orderly, and rigorous, instructional environment that fosters the development of good character, citizenship and academic excellence.

Our overall educational program will be guided by student needs and the school’s vision, as well as the specific goals of our curricular and extracurricular programs, including, but not limited to, the Arts & Humanities, Practical Living and Career Studies and Writing/Communication programs. When possible, decisions will be made based on applicable data. When making decisions, the SBDM council will give priority to the school’s improvement plan goals and the professional development action plan, as well as input from all stakeholders.
